KB Kookmin Bank is carrying out volunteer work to support families with disabled members and rolling out tailored financial mentoring programmes for young people, expanding its social contribution activities and inclusive finance efforts. It is widening the scope of its work, from volunteer activities with partner companies to stronger engagement with younger generations, as it continues steps to fulfil its social responsibilities.

KB Kookmin Bank said on May 18 it visited the Mapo Disabled Family Support Center in Seoul on May 12 with a partner company that operates outsourced customer service counselling work, and carried out volunteer activities.

About 40 people took part, including employees of the customer service partner company and bank employees such as Jung Min-su (정민수), a deputy president in charge of KB Kookmin Bank's Customer Contact Sales Group. They prepared customised travel kits and delivered messages of support. They also delivered a 10 million won donation to be used for a programme supporting families of people with severe disabilities.

KB Kookmin Bank and the customer service partner company have jointly carried out social contribution activities twice a year since last year. They have continued a culture of cooperation aimed at realising social value beyond business collaboration.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue to take the lead in building a warmer and healthier society together with partner companies."

KB Kookmin Bank also took part on May 17 in the "Young Korea Youth Employment and Mentoring Concert" jointly hosted by the Office for Government Policy Coordination and the Youth Foundation, and ran a financial mentoring programme for young people.

At the event held at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seocho district, Seoul, KB Kookmin Bank operated a "one-on-one tailored mentoring booth" to help resolve young people's financial concerns, such as building assets and personal finance. Wealth management experts, including tax accountants and private bankers, provided financial solutions tailored to participants' circumstances.

Mentors from various fields also attended and gave lectures, including Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, former professional Go player Lee Sedol and Ven. Seonjae.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue to take the lead in fulfilling social responsibility and practising inclusive finance through sincere support for young people."
