XRPL bug fixed that could have allowed excess XRP minting; no signs of exploitation

A critical flaw in XRP Ledger that could have allowed the creation and spending of newly minted XRP beyond the fixed supply has been patched. The vulnerability, present in the code since 2015, was disclosed by RippleX and the XRP Ledger Foundation. It was reported on Sept. 22 through the XRPL bug bounty programme and fixed in xrpld 3.4.1 released on Sept. 25. No signs of exploitation on the public network were found.
