Hyperliquid\'s HYPE token added to Nasdaq CME crypto index with 3.36 percent weight

Hyperliquid\'s HYPE token has been newly included in the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index, following a quarterly rebalancing after a prospectus supplement for the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Bitcoin and ether kept the largest weights at 74.36 percent and 11.88 percent. HYPE entered at 3.36 percent, close to Solana\'s 3.79 percent, while XRP held third place at 5.21 percent.

XRP may dodge September weakness as ETF flows, U.S. Clarity Act vote draw focus

XRP is showing strength ahead of September, a month often seen as weak for cryptocurrencies. U.Today reported XRP has closed higher in September 5 times and lower 3 times since 2018, with an average return of 12.19 percent. An analyst cited chart patterns shared with XLM and bitcoin, record weekly inflows into spot XRP ETFs and Goldman Sachs holdings. Attention is also on a Sept. 15 U.S. Senate vote and a 1 billion XRP escrow release.

CME unveils new indexes tracking BNB, XRP and SOL, excluding bitcoin and ether

CME Group has launched two new multi-asset cryptocurrency benchmark indexes, one tracking 10 major tokens excluding bitcoin and ether and another covering 12 assets including them. Real-time versions are calculated every second, while settlement versions are published once daily at 4 p.m. in London, New York and Singapore-Hong Kong time. The indexes use free-float market-cap weighting and are rebalanced twice a year.
