Com2uS boosts profitability on baseball games, eyes H2 growth with Zeus and Crimson Inferno
Com2uS said it sharply improved first-quarter profitability, helped by growth in its baseball games and more efficient spending. It reported revenue of 144.7 billion won and operating profit of 5.1 billion won, while posting a net loss of 8.3 billion won due to valuation losses on investment assets. The company is targeting growth in the second half with the launches of MMORPG Zeus: The God of Pride and the anime IP-based Do-won Amgui Crimson Inferno.

TVING posts 19.2 billion won Q1 operating loss, down 6.5 billion won year-on-year
TVING, a streaming service, posted an operating loss of 19.2 billion won in the first quarter, narrowing the loss by 25.3 percent from a year earlier. Revenue rose 20.7 percent to 107.3 billion won. Subscribers grew 37.3 percent over the past year as partnership products expanded, and advertising revenue increased 35.3 percent, helped by exclusive content and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBC).

Limited-edition goods and experiential events: Food industry in full swing with baseball marketing
South Korea\'s food industry is ramping up baseball marketing through collaborations with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and professional teams. Companies including Nongshim, Lotte Wellfood and Starbucks Korea are rolling out limited-edition products, team-themed packaging and goods, and holding in-stadium events. The push follows strong pro baseball attendance, with the KBO expecting crowds to rise to about 13 million this year. Some collaborations have already sold out in pre-orders and annual releases.
