Robinhood invests $35 million in Stripe and AI audio startup ElevenLabs
Robinhood\'s venture fund will invest about $35 million in fintech company Stripe and AI audio startup ElevenLabs, The Block reported on March 17 local time. Robinhood bought $14.6 million of Stripe Class B common stock and purchased $20 million of ElevenLabs Series D preferred shares. It also invests in other private companies including Revolut, Airwallex, Boom, Databricks and Ramp.

Prediction markets blur line between news and gambling
Prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi are blurring the line between news and gambling, The Verge reported. Polymarket is expanding a partnership with Substack to share betting data and reward creators who use it. Dow Jones has reflected Polymarket data in content including The Wall Street Journal, and CNN and CNBC have used Kalshi data. The Verge said betting data is not news and noted insider trading allegations.

Robinhood Layer 2 testnet processes 4 million transactions in first week
Robinhood’s Ethereum Layer 2 network processed 4 million transactions in its first week on a testnet, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 19. CEO Vlad Tenev said on X that developers are experimenting with applications on the Layer 2 network and that finance’s next chapter will unfold on-chain. Robinhood unveiled the “Robinhood Chain” testnet last week, aiming to tokenize traditional financial products such as stocks and ETFs.
