Dassault Systemes expands AI-native agentic 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Dassault Systemes said on July 27 that Centric PLM, provided by its subsidiary Centric Software, will offer virtual companions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including AURA for program management, LEO for complex engineering and MARIE for deep science. The company also unveiled industry-specific Virtual Twin Factories. It said the tools interpret user intent, reason in an industrial context and support decisions. CEO Pascal Daloz said virtual twin factories combine virtual companions, generative experiences and Virtual Twin as a Service.

China bans \'AI lovers\'; ByteDance, Alibaba to drop companion and persona features

ByteDance and Alibaba are shutting down agent features in key consumer AI products as China moves to regulate services that simulate human-like personalities and emotional interaction. Doubao users were notified the agent function will end on July 15, with related data managed under the company’s privacy policy after Oct. 15 and not recoverable. Alibaba’s Qwen will end human-like and user-generated agents on July 10 and further agent services on July 15.

Dassault Systemes to work with PariSante Campus to support sovereign healthcare ecosystem

Dassault Systemes will work with PariSante Campus, a French AI and digital innovation hub for healthcare, to support healthcare startups across France and Europe. The partnership will apply virtual twin and cloud technologies to Europe’s digital health ecosystem and help startups access AI capabilities, sovereign cloud infrastructure and mentoring. Eligible startups supported by PariSante Campus can join Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Lab and the OUTSCALE for Entrepreneurs accelerator programme.
