XRP Ledger to add lending and privacy features

XRP Ledger (XRPL) is preparing to introduce native lending and privacy features. Vet (벳), XRPL Foundation community lead and a dUNL validator, outlined upgrades that would expand XRPL into a built-in DeFi system without third-party smart contracts, bridges or intermediaries. Planned changes include accountable privacy based on the MPT standard, delegated permissions for private DEX trading, and lending proposals tied to partnerships involving Ripple, Clearpool and Cicada Partners.

XRP Ledger overhauls multisig approval structure to boost institutional use

XRP Ledger (XRPL) is pursuing an upgrade to move multisignature transaction approvals on-chain. The proposal, called On-Chain Cosigner, was submitted to the XRP Ledger Standards repository. If adopted, signers could complete approvals within XRPL without external communications or a central coordinator. The change aims to address coordination risks in the current off-chain process and is designed to support enterprise and institutional needs, including batch transactions, fee and reserve sponsorship, and future lending protocol operations.

XRP Ledger security upgrade goes live on mainnet, boosts DEX and lending stability

XRP Ledger (XRPL) activated its fixCleanup3_2_0 upgrade on the mainnet, reinforcing functions including single-asset vaults, lending protocols, permissioned decentralised exchanges and domains. A blockchain media outlet said the amendment took effect with support from 30 of 35 validators. The upgrade makes XRPL 3.2.0 the new minimum supported version. XRPScan warned nodes running version 3.1.0 or earlier could be blocked until they upgrade. Upbit began supporting deposits and withdrawals of XRPL-based RLUSD.
