LG Innotek wins 100 billion won order for in-vehicle WiFi 7 module
LG Innotek said on April 20 it will supply an in-vehicle WiFi 7 communications module to a major European parts company. The order is worth about 100 billion won, and mass production will begin from 2027. The module will be built into AVN (audio, video and navigation) units made by a German automotive electronics parts company and ultimately delivered to global automakers. LG Innotek said the deal will broaden its position in the vehicle connectivity market.

TTA says it supported world’s first accreditation for vehicle communications test equipment
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Tuesday that a next-generation vehicle-to-everything (V2X) security certification test system developed by a South Korean company was officially recognised as an accredited certification test equipment by the OmniAir Consortium. TTA said the product developed by Saesol Tech was the world’s first security-related OmniAir-qualified test equipment. The work was carried out under a Ministry of Science and ICT project, with TTA supporting the full process.

Tesla raises Cybertruck AWD price by $10,000 in 10 days
Tesla has increased the price of its newly launched Cybertruck AWD trim to $69,990 from $59,990, a $10,000 rise in 10 days, or about 17 percent. The company also removed a leasing option. The AWD is positioned as the lowest-priced Cybertruck and includes dual-motor all-wheel drive and other features. Critics question the 10-day limited price strategy, while the Cybertruck’s annual sales are reported to be around 20,000 units.
