China\'s EV export push puts U.S., Japan automakers on alert

Ford to launch Fadom electric pickup in 2027, cut parts and boost assembly speed 40 percent
Ford will begin mass-producing its midsize electric pickup Fadom in early 2027 and sell it from $28,350. The model will be the first vehicle on Ford\'s new Universal EV platform and is slated for production in the first quarter at the Louisville Assembly Plant. Ford plans to revamp production by building the vehicle in three zones and using large aluminum castings, cutting parts sharply and raising assembly speed by 40 percent.
