Ubisoft co-founder Claude Guillemot dies in light plane crash in western France
Ubisoft co-founder Claude Guillemot died in a light plane crash in western France, the company confirmed. Foreign media reported the crash occurred on June 19 as a Cessna 421 attempted to land at La Baule airfield in Loire-Atlantique, killing both people on board. The other victim was instructor Marc Guiero. Reports said Guillemot was piloting the aircraft while traveling to take part in an air show.

Pearl Abyss\' Black Desert Mobile joins global environment campaign Green Game Jam
Pearl Abyss said on Wednesday that Black Desert Mobile is taking part in the Green Game Jam, a global environmental challenge with adventurers worldwide. The campaign, backed by the Playing for the Planet alliance supported by the U.N. Environment Programme, aims to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainability through game content. Black Desert Mobile is the only South Korean game participating among 57 titles.

Former Assassin\'s Creed director pans ChatGPT coding experience
Clint Hocking (클린트 호킹), a former director of Ubisoft\'s Assassin\'s Creed franchise, said he used ChatGPT while learning to code but found the experience fell short of expectations. He said generative AI could help as a learning aid, but errors and repeated debugging issues hindered development. After trying AI-based coding study for about 18 months, he stopped using ChatGPT and shifted to learning JavaScript.
