Trend AI joins Anthropic\'s Project Glasswing
Trend AI, Trend Micro’s enterprise cybersecurity unit, said on Tuesday it will join Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, which makes its AI model Mythos available to selected companies for cybersecurity use. Trend AI said it will use Claude Mythos Preview to support software code review and analysis. It plans to help Korean customers integrate AI-based vulnerability intelligence into their risk management systems through its Vision One platform.

New iOS, Android app launches jump 104 percent despite AI replacing apps talk
New app releases on Apple’s App Store and Google Play rose 60 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2026, according to Appfigures data cited by Gigazine. Growth was stronger on iOS, up 80 percent. As of April 2026, combined iOS and Android launches were up 104 percent, while iOS was up 89 percent. The trend runs counter to predictions that AI would shrink the app ecosystem by replacing apps with chatbots and agents.

Trend AI partners with Anthropic to embed Claude models in security suite
Trend AI, the enterprise cybersecurity business unit of global security company Trend Micro, said on April 16 it has signed a strategic partnership with Anthropic. Under the collaboration, Trend AI will embed Anthropic\'s Claude models across its platform to strengthen agentic workflows, automation and AI-native security operations. It will also pursue threat research to identify vulnerabilities in AI systems and infrastructure and enhance vulnerability detection capabilities while carrying out systematic response activities to reduce real-world risks.
