NCSoft aims for quarterly growth on legacy, new IP and mobile casual three pillars

NCSoft posted a clear earnings rebound after achieving its biggest-ever first-quarter PC sales. The company said it will pursue continued quarter-by-quarter growth based on three pillars: expanding legacy intellectual property, globally launching new IP and ramping up mobile casual. Co-CEO Byung-moo Park said he was confident revenue and operating profit will keep rising quarter on quarter and year on year. NCSoft\'s \'TL\' to launch in 11 countries including Russia and Eastern Europe on May 19

NCSoft is expanding the service region for its MMORPG “Throne and Liberty (TL)” to 11 countries across Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the company said on Wednesday. TL is set to launch on May 19. Five Eastern European countries and five Central Asian countries are included. NCSoft previously ran a closed beta test from April 21 to 28 to check technical metrics and server optimisation and plans to reflect user feedback with local publisher Astrum Entertainment.

NCSoft forecasts 1,681 percent jump in Q1 operating profit as revenue structure shifts

NCSoft is expected to post a 1,681.5 percent surge in first-quarter operating profit from a year earlier, as its revenue structure shifts rather than benefiting only from a low base effect, an analysis said. Forecasts put Q1 sales at 518.1 billion won and operating profit at 93.0 billion won. Analysts cited contributions from Aion2 and Lineage Classic, while noting lingering cost pressures and the importance of Aion2’s global launch.
