NCSoft said on Feb. 10 it has hired Mervin Lee Kwai (머빈 리 콰이) to oversee publishing and live service operations at NC America.
Kwai will be responsible at NC America for overall service and operations for games being serviced in North America and Europe. NCSoft plans to launch new games globally this year, including new massively multiplayer online role-playing games and shooters such as Aion2 and Cinder City.
Kwai is an expert who has handled global publishing for MMORPGs for 23 years. He has experience in publishing and live services for major global titles at Amazon Games, Sony Online Entertainment and Trion Worlds.
At Amazon Games, he oversaw global launches and services for Korean PC and console MMORPGs, including Throne and Liberty. He has strong understanding and insight into the Korean and Western game industries overall.
Kwai said, "Starting with Aion2, I will do my best to successfully introduce NC's major games to the global market."
