AWS launches \'training sessions\' in SageMaker for custom AI agent training
Amazon Web Services has launched a \'training sessions\' feature in its Amazon SageMaker AI machine-learning platform, VentureBeat reported. The tool lets developers design training procedures and set success criteria while AWS allocates compute resources, coordinates processors, handles recovery and saves progress. It adds finer programming control to a serverless approach. Billing is based on processed tokens, with no charges during customer evaluation. Four models are supported, and data remains in customers\' S3 storage.

Nvidia weighs bolder bet on open-weight AI, including possible ReflectionAI acquisition
Nvidia is negotiating options to make an additional investment in open-source AI startup ReflectionAI or to acquire the company, Reuters reported, citing the Financial Times. The talks are at an early stage and could take several forms, including an acquihire in which Nvidia hires staff and buys rights to use the technology. A deal could come within weeks, but talks could also collapse.

China AI startup Naive AI bets on mid and post-training to compete in LLMs
Chinese AI model startup Naive AI, founded in February by a Tsinghua University professor, has been valued at more than $1.4 billion and raised $400 million from Tencent and others in three funding rounds, The Information reported. Based in Beijing, it plans to release its first large language model this month as an open-weight model. The company is led by professor Dai Zhipeng and is focusing on improving model performance through mid-training and post-training techniques.
