Thinking Machines Lab, a generative AI development startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati (미라 무라티), has signed a long-term strategic partnership with Nvidia and moved to secure large-scale computing infrastructure, TechCrunch reported on March 10 local time.
The agreement also includes adopting 1 gigawatt of Nvidia's Vera Rubin systems from 2027. Nvidia will also participate as an investor by committing a significant amount to Thinking Machines Lab.
Since its founding in 2025, Thinking Machines Lab has raised more than $2 billion from Andreessen Horowitz, Accel and AMD, lifting its valuation to $12 billion. It has not yet released a commercialised product.
The size of the deal was not disclosed, but TechCrunch reported it is expected to be substantial given growth in the AI infrastructure market.
