AI drives faster vulnerability patching as AI-native security evolves
As artificial intelligence is rapidly adopted in cybersecurity, security patching practices across the tech industry are changing, with patch releases growing faster and larger than before. Microsoft rolled out its biggest-ever security patch after using AI to detect code vulnerabilities. The United States introduced a new coordination framework called Gold Eagle to speed detection, prioritisation and patching for critical infrastructure. Companies also launched AI-native security platforms, initiatives and services across cloud, operations and vulnerability testing.

Theori launches Xint Pulse on-demand AI penetration testing solution
Offensive cybersecurity company Theori said on Tuesday it launched Xint Pulse, an on-demand diagnostic solution based on its AI vulnerability detection platform Xint. The company said Xint Pulse keeps the inspection performance of its AI-based black-box penetration testing solution Xint Web, while allowing flexible adoption for individual web applications. It said the product runs the same high-performance AI engine and provides vulnerability analysis reports and up to three free retests.

Dunamu holds launch ceremony for fourth UPSide Academy cohort
Dunamu said it held a launch ceremony on Feb. 23 for the fourth cohort of its UPSide Academy, a programme to train young security talent. The Web3 security training programme was introduced by Dunamu and cybersecurity specialist Theori. Trainees complete an 18-week course combining intensive instruction and project work. Dunamu opened a dedicated training centre, UP Space, in Seoul’s Yeoksam-dong and will provide equipment, monthly stipends and other support.
