[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Offensive cybersecurity specialist Theori said on Aug. 3 it has supplied Woori Financial Group with its AI-based black-box penetration testing solution, Xint Web.
The company said Xint Web is an autonomous security inspection solution that implements white-hat hacking know-how as an AI agent. It works as a black-box penetration testing method that detects threats in a live operating environment in real time with only a URL input. The AI explores services directly like an actual user to map endpoint connection structures, and generates customised scenarios that are difficult for humans to imagine to carry out multidimensional intrusion tests.
Gwak Kyung-joo (곽경주), head of the Xint product, said, “It is meaningful that the technological capability of Xint Web, which can independently detect flaws even in complex web service logic in operation, has met the strict security standards of the financial sector.” He added, “This cooperation with Woori Financial Group will become an exemplary case of security innovation in the financial sector that responds swiftly to cyber threats.”
