Peter Schiff said the Federal Reserve has already lost the fight against inflation and that further interest-rate increases could put strong downward pressure on bitcoin and the broader crypto market. In an interview, he tied bond-market instability, rising U.S. Treasury yields, weakening dollar purchasing power and increased central-bank gold buying into a single trend. He said restoring credibility would be difficult and argued that bitcoin lacks backing compared with gold.

SKT to use RCS so users approve AI agent payments by message

SK Telecom is seeking to use next-generation messaging standard RCS as a channel for users to give final approval before an AI agent carries out real-world actions such as bookings or payments. SKT said it will host an in-person GSMA RCS Group standardisation meeting in Seoul from Sept. 15 to 18 to discuss combining AI and messaging. SKT will propose “AI Agent Approval over RCS” as a standard agenda item.
