Anthropic has added a model selection feature to Claude voice mode, allowing users to choose Opus, Sonnet or Haiku. TechCrunch reported the update carries over the last model used in text chat and defaults to the fastest version of that model. The service now supports longer conversations and feedback on communication style, reviewing customer proposals and organising product market research ideas. It also supports integrations with apps including Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Canva and Notion.

Apple is testing a Live Notes system in some offline stores that uses AI to record, transcribe and summarise Genius Bar consultations and store them in an internal support system. The trial aims to reduce staff note-taking and help employees focus on customer service while cutting missed records and easing follow-up checks. The feature is not automatic and requires prior consent from both staff and customers. Some retail employees have raised concerns about potential uses for quality control or internal evaluation.
