Nolyuniverse CTO says it will evolve into a global data platform spanning Yanolja Group
Kim Young-jin (김영진), chief technology officer at Nolyuniverse, said the company is accelerating efforts to make better use of large-scale data by adopting Databricks. He said internal challenges included difficulty finding needed data, limited trust in discovered data and complexity in integrating multiple services. Nolyuniverse built a centralized feature store called Lynx and integrated tools into Databricks to speed development. He also highlighted plans for a global data platform across Yanolja Group.

Seven South Korean researchers selected for HFSP life sciences international research support
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said 7 South Korean researchers have been selected for the 2026 Human Frontier Science Program. The selections include 3 research grants, 2 accelerator awards and 2 fellowships. The ministry said 1,180 proposals were submitted for grants, the largest in HFSP history. Selected grant teams receive about $300,000 to $400,000 a year for 3 years for international joint research.

Checkpoint to buy three security startups from AI to MSP
Checkpoint is buying three startups for a combined $150 million, SiliconANGLE reported on Feb. 12. It has agreed to acquire Tel Aviv-based Cyclops Security for $85 million. Cyclops developed a data lake platform that analyzes cybersecurity data across enterprise infrastructure to identify risks. Checkpoint is also buying Cyata Security, which sets AI agent security guardrails, and Rotait, which develops a security platform for managed service providers.
