Chinese researchers claim they have developed a lightweight AI system that can identify U.S. F-22 and F-35 stealth fighters by analysing infrared heat signatures, recording more than 90 percent recognition accuracy in laboratory conditions. The study focuses on infrared signals rather than radar cross-section and also aims to distinguish aircraft from flares. The researchers tested simulation targets reflecting the jets’ thermal characteristics, and verification against real aircraft has not been confirmed.

The spread of AI agents is changing not only how people work but also what companies need from work PCs, TechRadar said. Instead of simply running software, PCs are increasingly expected to support employees working alongside agents that remember context, automate parts of workflows and use approved tools. This is shifting buying criteria toward strategic device management, local AI processing, and secure handling of sensitive data. Organisational strategy and incentives are also lagging, it said.
