BYD to expand to four European plants with three vehicle sites, one battery factory planned

BYD is pushing a plan to establish three vehicle assembly plants and one battery plant in Europe, as it steps up local production to respond to the European Union’s high tariffs on China-made electric vehicles and to expand sales in the region. Production is starting at its first European plant in Hungary, and the company expects to decide on a second manufacturing site by year-end. It is also considering Spain and France.

Netflix is expanding overseas streaming of key works by director Lee Chang-dong, including \"Secret Sunshine\" and \"Peppermint Candy\", after the film \"Possible Love\" won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. Netflix began streaming \"Green Fish\" and \"Secret Sunshine\" in late August in countries including Italy, Britain and France. It will add \"Poetry\" and \"Burning\" in markets including Japan and the United States, with subtitles in six languages.
