Kalshi U.S. visitors surge more than 1,500 percent as sports betting drives growth

U.S. prediction market platform Kalshi’s U.S. website visitors jumped more than 1,500 percent in less than a year, driven by a surge in sports prediction contracts and a sharp rise in trading. Similarweb estimates showed 15.4 million U.S. visits in July, up from under 1 million in August 2025. Dune Analytics data put August notional volume at about $40 billion, while legal disputes grow over whether the products are financial instruments or sports gambling.

AI agents use more AI tokens than people as agentic AI shifts accelerate

An analysis shows AI agents consume more AI tokens than people, an irony that highlights the rise of agentic AI. Andreessen Horowitz shared trends in finance and technology, citing OpenRouter data showing bots use nearly five times more tokens than people and bot token use has risen about 14-fold since February. It said most agent tokens come from cached prompts, lowering costs but boosting memory needs. It also flagged rising AI use in legal work and shifting demand for automation tools.

Liner raises 50 billion won in Series C to expand AI search and agent capabilities

AI agent startup Liner said on Monday it raised 50 billion won in a Series C funding round led by LB Investment. Existing core shareholders including Atinum Investment and CJ Investment joined the round, while Korea Development Bank, Helios Private Equity, KB Securities, Daishin Securities and Stick Ventures participated as new investors. Liner said it has 14 million users across about 220 countries and ranked 30th in SimilarWeb’s global AI service traffic ranking as of late July 2026.
