Naver Webtoon, Kakao Entertainment and other rights holders close overseas piracy site TuMangaOnline
Naver Webtoon, Kakao Entertainment and other major South Korean webtoon rights holders, working with the Copyright Overseas Promotion Association (COA), have shut down the Spanish-language piracy site TuMangaOnline and multiple related sites, they said on April 27. The action was carried out by Spanish judicial authorities and is described as the first case in which Korean rights holders directly responded overseas under local law and achieved results. The case is heading toward the opening of a formal criminal trial.

Rocket launches AI-based product strategy consulting platform
Indian startup Rocket has launched Rocket 1.0, an AI-based product strategy platform, TechCrunch reported. The company says coding has become easier with AI tools, while business strategy remains a gap. Rocket 1.0 links research, product development and competitive intelligence in a single workflow and generates PDF strategy reports from text prompts. It also tracks competitors using more than 1,000 data sources. Pricing starts at $25 a month.

A.dot, Papago enter global top 50 AI apps; ChatGPT ranks No. 1
SK Telecom’s AI assistant A.dot and Naver’s translation service Papago have entered the top 50 in Andreessen Horowitz’s “Top 100 next-generation AI consumer apps” report. A.dot ranked 39th in the web products category, the only domestic service to make the web top 50, while Papago ranked 43rd in mobile apps and Snow placed 48th. The rankings are based on January traffic data from Similarweb and Sensor Tower.
