AI agent startup Liner said on Monday it raised 50 billion won in a Series C funding round led by LB Investment.
Existing core shareholders including Atinum Investment and CJ Investment also took part in the round. Korea Development Bank, Helios Private Equity, KB Securities, Daishin Securities and Stick Ventures joined as new investors.
Liner said it has secured 14 million users in about 220 countries worldwide, including the United States, Europe, India and Southeast Asia. As of late July 2026, it ranked 30th in SimilarWeb’s global AI service traffic ranking.
Based on user data built up from global traffic and about 500 million academic data records, Liner expanded its business model into the B2B enterprise sector.
Liner plans to focus the Series C proceeds on R&D to solidify its technological edge. It will allocate funds first to advancing core technologies and expanding infrastructure to widen the gap with competitors in search and agent services, while also distributing resources in a balanced way to secure global talent and expand marketing and business. It also plans to diversify the business model of its core B2C services and optimise agent technology proven in overseas markets for South Korea to broaden its base as an "AI for everyone" service that the entire population can feel in everyday life.
Liner CEO Jinwoo Kim (김진우) said the funding was a strategic step to secure the technology infrastructure and talent that will be responsible for reliability, a core element of AI agents. "On the fierce global AI stage, Liner will continue to prove its capabilities and compete confidently with global big tech companies," he said.
