RISC-V chip design startup SiFive raises $400 million

RISC-V chip design startup SiFive raised $400 million in a Series G funding round, SiliconANGLE reported on Thursday. The round valued the company at $3.65 billion. Atreides Management led the financing, with participation from Nvidia and enterprise technology investor Apollo. SiFive’s cumulative external funding has topped $760 million. Founded in 2015 by RISC-V creators, SiFive sells ready-to-use RISC-V processor designs spanning automotive, battery-powered connected devices and data centre chips.
