KB Kookmin Bank to hold KB Goodjob fair in Busan in October, seeks participating firms
KB Kookmin Bank said on Wednesday it will recruit companies until Sept. 4 to participate in the 2026 KB Goodjob Busan JOB Festival. The job fair will be held on Oct. 26 at Hall 1 of Exhibition Center 1 at BEXCO in Busan and is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Busan Metropolitan City government and the bank. The bank said it will provide hiring support and loan rate benefits to participating firms.

KakaoBank union to launch five-day full strike from Aug. 31
KakaoBank\'s union will begin a full strike from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4, covering five business days, after a one-day strike and compliance campaign last month. The union said the company failed to present an acceptable bargaining proposal and has not narrowed differences on key issues. It warned of possible service gaps and delays in customer consultations, complaint handling, loan reviews and manual processing, and internal approvals.

Finance sector on edge as talk grows of relocating key financial institutions from Seoul
South Korea\'s finance sector is on edge amid speculation the government is close to announcing a second plan to relocate public institutions outside Seoul. Korea Development Bank, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and Export-Import Bank of Korea are being mentioned, along with the Financial Services Commission and Financial Supervisory Service.
