Court grants Kwon Hyuk-bin divorce, orders in-kind split of 35 percent of Smilegate shares
A Seoul family court granted the divorce of Smilegate founder and chief vision officer Kwon Hyuk-bin (권혁빈) and his spouse Lee (이모씨), accepting the divorce claim at first instance. The court set Lee’s contribution to the couple’s assets at 35 percent and ordered an in-kind division of 35 percent of Smilegate-related shares. It also ordered Kwon to pay 65 billion won in cash for the shortfall and interest for late payment.
