Setlog ranks No. 2 in social app downloads in Korea and Japan, growth accelerates in Japan
Setlog, a social app for sharing short videos among close friends, ranked No. 2 in social media app downloads in both South Korea and Japan, Sensor Tower data showed. The app has about 1.5 million global downloads since its iOS launch last December, with Japan accounting for 40.6 percent and Korea 23.5 percent. Japan overtook Korea as the largest market from mid-July. Users spend less time per day but open the app frequently.

Meta AI agent Muse tops App Store, overtaking ChatGPT
Meta\'s AI agent app Muse has risen to the top of the free app charts, overtaking OpenAI\'s ChatGPT and intensifying competition in personal AI assistants, foreign media reported. Muse handles tasks such as web browsing, booking library books and sending emails. It has held the No. 1 spot on the U.S. App Store and Google Play since its launch and has more than 3.4 million downloads, Sensor Tower said.

Global short-drama platform ReelShort has already surpassed major OTT services such as Netflix and Disney+ in mobile viewing time. Usage across short-drama apps is rising quickly, and sales are forecast to grow this year. China is expanding production using generative AI, while concerns are growing over addiction, spending and content quality.
