LG to use Nvidia AI for humanoid, to unveil bipedal robot in 2027 Q1
LG will integrate Nvidia artificial intelligence technology into its humanoid robot development and plans to unveil a next-generation bipedal humanoid in the first quarter of next year. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding at Nvidia headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The robot will use Nvidia’s Jetson Thor along with Isaac GR00T and the Halos for Robotics safety system. The partnership also covers robot data and AI factory projects, plus mobility platforms based on Nvidia Drive Hyperion.

Samsung Electronics unveils first 400-plus-layer V10 BV-NAND
Samsung Electronics unveiled next-generation 3D memory technology aimed at supporting the spread of AI infrastructure. The company said it showed mock-ups of its next-generation 3D memory architectures, zHBM and zNAND-O, for the first time in the industry at FMS 2026 in Santa Clara, California. It also debuted a 400-plus-layer V10 BV-NAND. Samsung also presented a portfolio including HBM4E, HBM5, LPDDR5X-PIM and PM1763.

SK hynix unveils first HBF standard developed with SanDisk
SK hynix unveiled the first standard specification for High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) developed with SanDisk, and presented the details at FMS 2026 in Santa Clara on Aug. 4. The standard defines configurations stacking NAND dies in 8 or 16 layers up to 512GB and sets three bandwidth tiers from about 0.4 TB/s to 3.0 TB/s. It adopts the UCIe interface and is 공개 via OCP, with Google and Tenstorrent in the consortium.
