SK launches Impact Booster to help social ventures scale up

SK said on Wednesday it will launch a scale-up support programme, Impact Booster, for social ventures at the growth stage. The programme targets social ventures that have moved beyond Pre-A funding and entered Series A or B rounds, before an IPO. SK plans to select about 10 companies a year, offering business cooperation with key affiliates and up to 70 million won in support, provided in phases based on progress and collaboration projects.

SK to cooperate with Vietnam on AI data centres and energy infrastructure

SK will expand into building AI infrastructure in Vietnam, linking construction of AI data centres with power supply. SK said it signed separate MOUs in Hanoi with the Nghe An provincial government and Vietnam\'s National Innovation Center to create an AI ecosystem. SK Innovation and SK Telecom will jointly review an AI data centre and related infrastructure project in Nghe An and explore energy cooperation tied to the Quynh Lap LNG power project.

SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon to join President Lee Jae-myung on Vietnam trip

Jeong Jae-heon, chief executive of SK Telecom, departed on April 22 to join President Lee Jae-myung’s economic delegation on a trip to Vietnam. Jeong attended the opening event of the World IT Show in Seoul earlier in the day and visited SKT’s booth ahead of the opening to check preparations. Leaders of South Korea’s four major conglomerates are also expected to join the delegation.
