Choi Tae-won of SK says AI can cut costs of measuring value, stresses performance-based incentives

Choi Tae-won (최태원), chairman of SK Group, said scaling solutions to social problems requires a compensation system based on results, not budgets and publicity. Speaking in Seoul at the first session of the Ecosystem Leadership Exchange, he also stressed the importance of accurately measuring social value and said advances in AI can help address the high transaction costs of precise measurement. He called for performance-based incentives and promoted the social performance incentive model.

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won (최태원) will appear as the first speaker in season 6 of EBS\' \"Great Lessons, Great Minds\". SK Group said he will appear on EBS 1TV at 11:45 p.m. on weekdays from Oct. 12 to 16 under the theme \"AI, a new capitalism and youth\". Choi Tae-won appeals non-indictment in defamation case involving No So-young\'s lawyer

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won appealed prosecutors\' decision not to indict a lawyer representing No So-young over remarks that Choi spent more than 100 billion won on Kim Hee-young since 2015. Prosecutors cited insufficient evidence for defamation and said the remarks had some basis. Choi\'s side said the decision did not confirm the figures as fact and argued the actual amount spent as living expenses with Kim was about 2 billion won, with larger figures stemming from improperly aggregated expenditures.
