Kim Wan-jong (김완종), president of SK AX, and SAP CEO Christian Klein met at SAP's headquarters in Walldorf, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, to discuss cooperation plans.

SK AX said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with SAP at the global business software company's headquarters on cooperation for SAP Autonomous Suite and business AI.

The company said the partnership centres on combining SAP's technology with SK AX's accumulated capabilities in designing and operating industry-specific AX.

The two companies said they expect corporate productivity and decision-making speed to rise significantly if overall enterprise operations, including ERP systems, are optimised with agentic AI based on SK AX expertise and technical capabilities built across industrial sites.

Kim Wan-jong (김완종), president of SK AX, said SK AX is leading AX innovation by fundamentally redesigning business processes to strengthen corporate customer competitiveness and applying AX, based on differentiated AX technological capabilities spanning legacy systems, data and the cloud. He said, based on strategic cooperation with SAP, SK AX and the SK Group will first create leading success cases for an AI-native enterprise and spread them to domestic and global markets.

SAP CEO Christian Klein said SAP supports companies in becoming autonomous enterprises by combining AI capabilities, data and business process expertise so they can make smarter decisions, operate more efficiently and identify new growth opportunities. He said he expects SAP's top experts and AI agent development methodology to help realise an autonomous enterprise vision for joint customers with SK AX.
