Korea communications regulator waives TV licence fees for flood victims, cuts pay-TV bills

South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Communications Commission will support residents in parts of Gyeongsang Province designated as special disaster zones after summer heavy rain. It will waive TV licence fees for two months for affected residents in some areas of Andong and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province. It plans similar action for parts of Geoje and Tongyeong in South Gyeongsang once damage tallies are completed. Pay-TV providers will also cut monthly fees by 50 percent for one month.
