Red Hat wraps up Red Hat Summit: Connect Seoul 2026
Red Hat held its annual open-source technology event, Red Hat Summit: Connect 2026, in Seoul on Oct. 27. Vincent Caldeira, Red Hat APAC chief technology officer, delivered a keynote on maximising impact in AI, security and critical infrastructure decisions. Customer sessions covered a Red Hat OpenShift-based K-SCADA transition strategy and Red Hat’s security response strategy for the AI era, including a defence-in-depth approach and LightWell patching.

Nvidia open-sources cuFile API as GPUs read directly from storage
Nvidia has released its cuFile API, which directly connects GPUs and storage, as open source. Nvidia also announced an industry collaboration group called Storage-Next at the Future of Memory and Storage conference. The company said cuFile transfers storage data directly to GPU memory without passing through the CPU and system memory, enabling secure access in milliseconds. Nvidia said cuFile could help speed retrieval-augmented generation and agentic AI workloads.

Jensen Huang visits Samsung booth, picks HBM4 and Groq LPU supply chain
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Samsung Electronics\' booth at GTC 2026 in San Jose and reviewed products spanning next-generation high-bandwidth memory, server memory modules and storage, Samsung said on March 17. Huang signed Samsung\'s HBM4 core die wafer and a 4-nanometre wafer for Groq LPU foundry production. Samsung also unveiled HBM4E and hybrid copper bonding, while highlighting memory and storage solutions for Nvidia\'s Vera Rubin platform.
