South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission imposed penalties on the Ministry of the Interior and Safety over personal data leaks on the Government24 portal. The ministry was fined 273 million won and given an additional 7.5 million won administrative fine. The commission cited a development error that exposed data of 1,233 people, a weakness in an ID issuance-status inquiry service and other cases, including delayed reporting of the leak.

South Korea plans to 추진 an agriculture and rural artificial intelligence transition strategy to apply AI from production and distribution to consumption and rural daily life. The plan expands policy beyond production-focused smart farming to include distribution, livestock and living services. It targets 13 tasks across four areas, including affordable smart farms, smart distribution centres, AI-based grading in slaughterhouses, improved supply-demand forecasting and expanding AI-enabled rural living zones by 2030.
