Anthropic manager says what matters more than coding skills

As AI rapidly reshapes software development, coding interviews are being reconsidered. An Anthropic engineering manager, Felix Rieseberg (펠릭스 리제버그), said he has removed traditional coding interviews from his team’s hiring process because they are less effective at gauging real-world ability. He said tasks such as simple React assignments or assembly questions are no longer valid. He stressed drive to spot problems and deliver solutions, and looks for empathy, product sense and principled thinking in portfolios.
