A2Z cumulative autonomous driving surpasses 1 million km, setting Korea record

Autonomous A2Z said it has surpassed 1 million km in cumulative autonomous driving, setting the longest record in South Korea. The company said passengers on its self-developed Level 4 driverless autonomous shuttle, ROii, also exceeded 10,000. As of May 15, cumulative mileage reached 1,023,355 km and passenger numbers totaled 10,132. A2Z said the total includes operations in South Korea as well as trials in Japan and shuttle runs in Singapore.

South Korea\'s mobility platform industry is expanding into autonomous driving by using data gathered from its own services as AI training assets. Socar plans to set up a standalone unit for autonomous driving services, with Krafton joining as a strategic investor. Kakao Mobility has declared a shift into a physical AI company and outlined technology plans based on Kakao T data. Autonomous A2Z is building mass-production systems through deals with automakers and parts makers.

A2Z, HL Klemove cooperate to develop Level 4 autonomous driving technology

Autonomous A2Z said on Tuesday it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with HL Klemove to jointly develop HPC-based end-to-end Level 4 autonomous driving core technology. The partners will use driving data from A2Z’s Level 4 autonomous shuttle ROii, which is undergoing demonstration operations around Cheonggyecheon. A2Z will lead system integration, while HL Klemove will contribute sensor fusion, perception and control technologies.
