Rivian to release point-to-point driving feature first to paying subscribers, requiring NDA
Rivian will invite some vehicle owners to access its point-to-point driving feature in late 2026, starting with paying Autonomy+ subscribers in the United States who meet usage and safety criteria. Eligibility will be reviewed every 30 days, and access can be revoked. Participants must provide feedback, share data and sign a non-disclosure agreement. Rivian plans to expand access to all subscribers in 2027 and exclude first-generation R1 owners and Canadian users.

iPod creator Tony Fadell on why Apple AI fell short
Tony Fadell, known as the “father of the iPod,” said first-generation AI devices failed because they lacked practicality and trust. He said products such as Rabbit R1 and Humane AI Pin did not solve user needs and offered performance below expectations. Fadell said AI assistants are not yet mainstream and require time to build trust for sensitive tasks. He said Apple is closest on hardware, but still lacks sufficient AI capability.

Rabbit launches cloud-based personal AI agent OS3, connects up to five devices
Rabbit unveiled OS3, a cloud-based personal AI agent that connects to users’ devices through the Rabbit Agent and can be installed on up to five devices. OS3 supports connections to multiple AI models without being tied to a specific one, with users providing model keys for services such as Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT. It retains context, memory and skills when models change and can run long tasks in the background.
