Rabbit unveiled OS3, a cloud-based personal AI agent that connects to personal devices and carries out tasks. On Sept. 23, SiliconANGLE reported that OS3 is cloud-based and can connect to personal devices through the Rabbit Agent. It can be installed on up to 5 devices.

OS3 and the Rabbit Agent support connections to various AI models without being tied to a specific model. Users provide their own model keys to connect Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT or their own local models. It can also work with routing services such as OpenRouter.

Context, memory and skills are retained even when models are switched. Users can change models depending on task difficulty and adjust costs.

Users can type text into a standard chat interface or give voice instructions. OS3 processes long-running tasks in the background and notifies users when they are complete. It connects with smartphones via a Telegram bot and the web.

OS3 can also import skills from other agents or AI assistants. Users can copy and paste a skill URL to set it up immediately without command prompts or additional settings.

Rabbit said OS3 responds only to user instructions and does not run tasks on its own. Sensitive tasks go through user consent and confirmation. System-level permissions are requested separately by the operating system locally, and users can revoke permissions at any time.

OS3 can currently be installed on Windows 11, macOS and Linux-based local machines, as well as cloud virtual machines, dedicated AI machines and R1. R1 is not required to run OS3 but can be used with it. A Rabbit account is required to get started, and users can sign up on the company website.
