Quantum Korea 2026 to bring global quantum technology together
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will hold Quantum Korea 2026 from July 2 to 4 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. The event will bring together governments, researchers and quantum companies to share technology and policy. Participants include 56 companies and institutions from 12 countries, such as IBM, IonQ, Quandela and PASQAL. Exhibits and talks will cover quantum computing, communications and sensing, alongside an international conference and public programmes.

Science ministry launches POSTECH quantum global partnership lead center
South Korea has set up an international joint research hub for quantum technology at Pohang University of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science and ICT said. The POSTECH Quantum Global Partnership Lead Center aims to develop large-scale quantum entanglement generation and control by linking different quantum platforms. The project runs from July 2025 to December 2029 with funding of 22.3 billion won. Researchers from domestic and overseas institutions attended the opening event.

MSIT discusses quantum revolution cooperation vision at OECD headquarters
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will co-host a high-level event on international cooperation for the second quantum revolution at the OECD headquarters in Paris on June 2. The event is a key side meeting tied to the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting and is jointly hosted by South Korea, Finland, Japan, the UK and the OECD Global Forum on Technology. Vice Minister Ryu Je-myung will attend as the lead delegate.
