Tether adviser cites speculative industry structure as key reason bitcoin lags

A Tether adviser said bitcoin’s failure to return to record highs reflects speculative noise and a weak product structure inside the crypto industry, not technical limits. He said value is leaking from bitcoin as markets prioritise click-driven, short-term derivatives over infrastructure and distribution. While U.S. stocks and gold hit records, bitcoin remains below its peak. He also pointed to supply pressure, citing a model showing net inflows worsening and a cumulative balance falling to -154,169 BTC after an October 2025 high.
