KT accelerates companywide system overhaul with \'Next IT\' shift to AI native

KT said on Sunday it will accelerate companywide IT modernisation to strengthen information security and service stability and to lay the groundwork for executing its strategy as an AI transformation platform company. Under its \'Next IT\' strategy, KT will expand the scope of core system upgrades across platforms, infrastructure and the work environment and shift step by step to an AI-native next-generation IT framework. The plan spans platform modernisation, next-generation infrastructure and AI-driven work methods.

MSIT to hold AI, digital challenge to tackle social problems

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency will hold a 2026 challenge to address social problems such as climate disasters and issues affecting regions and youth using AI and digital technology. The contest has service development and idea discovery tracks. Participants can apply online until Sept. 30. The ministry will support the cost of using one of Naver, NHN or KT cloud services and award 10 finalists, with total prizes of 28 million won.

NHN Cloud completes verification of Tibero TAC, applies it to Daegu public cloud

NHN Cloud said on Aug. 13 it completed a proof of concept verifying the operational stability of TmaxTibero\'s Tibero Active Cluster (TAC) in a multi-hypervisor cloud environment and applied it to the Daegu public-private partnership (PPP) cloud. TAC is an active-active clustering high-availability solution. NHN Cloud said it applied SR-IOV to enable fast, stable communication between database servers and completed deployment at the National Information Resources Service Daegu Center in July.
