Privacy watchdog recommends improving face authentication for mobile phone activation

South Korea to launch tailored inspections by personal data risk level
South Korea will begin full-scale, tailored inspections of personal data handling from the second half of this year based on the level of privacy-infringement risk. The Personal Information Protection Commission presented a plan to shift to a prevention-focused personal data management system at a meeting of economy-related ministers on May 22. Meta introduces fully private AI chat feature
Meta is introducing a private AI chat feature for WhatsApp and the Meta AI app that is designed so even the company cannot read the conversations.
