Microsoft tests top menu bar in Windows 11
Microsoft is considering introducing a top menu bar in Windows 11, The Verge reported on Jan. 30. The project, called the Command Palette Dock internally, is being led by the PowerToys team and would stay fixed at the top of the screen, similar to Linux, macOS and older Windows versions. Microsoft released concept images and is collecting feedback. Developers can download an early version from PowerToys on GitHub and test it in Visual Studio.
