Hecto Innovation opens baseball game outcome prediction platform Polyball
IT information services company Hecto Innovation has opened Polyball, a platform for predicting outcomes of South Korea’s professional baseball games. The app offers prediction games and mini-games such as guessing player records, and awards entry tickets that can be used to apply for ticket exchange vouchers. Vouchers are issued as NFTs to a Polyball wallet and can be exchanged for physical tickets at designated GS25 stores from 2 hours before game time.

KAIST develops mRNA platform that works well for ageing and obesity
KAIST said a joint research team developed a new mRNA platform by precisely designing the 5\' untranslated region, a key regulatory area that controls how efficiently proteins are produced. Using integrated analysis of large-scale bioinformatics data, the team identified 5\' UTR sequences that improve protein production across diverse cellular environments. In preclinical ageing and obesity models, an mRNA therapeutic based on the design increased protein production and immune responses compared with existing approaches.

Polymarket introduces 5-minute Bitcoin bets as airdrop expectations spread
Decentralised prediction market platform Polymarket has launched an ultra-short-term cryptocurrency market targeting high-risk investors, allowing bets on whether a 5-minute Bitcoin candle closes higher or lower. A Polymarket developer and “senior intern” told a core user, “Next is the 1-minute market and $POLY,” reviving expectations of a native token and an airdrop. Polymarket has filed a $POLY trademark but has not stated whether it will issue a token or adopt a Layer2 structure.
