South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity selected lead institutions for two university education innovation programmes to strengthen science and engineering students\' practical problem-solving and basic maths and science skills. Busan National University and Yonsei University will run an industry-linked engineering training project, supported by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology. POSTECH and Chonnam National University were chosen to reform basic curricula and lab training with up to 13.5 billion won in support.

iM Bank will pursue its second-half management strategy with a focus on improving soundness, upgrading its non-face-to-face systems and expanding cooperation with external platforms. The bank said it held a second-half strategy meeting in Pohang on July 10 attended by about 290 executives and branch managers. The meeting reviewed first-half performance and shared key directions for the remainder of the year, including targets and execution plans to meet its net profit goal.
