Ruling party lawmakers on the National Assembly’s science, ICT, broadcasting and communications committee held closed-door policy talks on July 22 with relevant government agencies. Participants reviewed progress on existing projects for the second half, including space launch vehicles and nuclear power safety issues. Lawmakers also discussed budget constraints for large AI projects such as AI data centres and physical AI, power demand linked to AI expansion and the need to strengthen SMR research and investment.

The Broadcasting Media Communications Commission approved the nomination and appointment of nine public broadcaster directors recommended by the Democratic Party.
