Tech Developers Day designated as statutory national commemoration; 55 R&D contributors honoured

South Korea has designated Tech Developers Day as a statutory national commemoration for the first time this year to recognise the work of research and development personnel. The Ministry of Science and ICT held a ceremony in Seoul on Sept. 7 and presented awards to researchers and companies that contributed to strengthening technological competitiveness. The ministry said it granted 55 government awards, including medals, orders and presidential and prime ministerial citations, along with additional vice prime minister citations and outstanding researcher awards.

Intellivix wins Kosdaq preliminary listing approval, seeks standard IPO

Intellivix, an AI safety solutions company, said on Thursday it had passed the Korea Exchange’s preliminary review for a Kosdaq listing. Mirae Asset Securities is the lead underwriter. The company said it will pursue a standard listing based on performance rather than a technology special listing. Intellivix said it has posted profits for 13 straight years and reported rising revenue, along with operating profit and net profit last year.

Bizplay introduces business trip management solution at AI government innovation conference

Bizplay, a Webcash affiliate, introduced an AI-based business trip management solution that supports planning, reservations and expense settlement for public institutions. The company said it showcased the \"bzp business trip management\" service at the 8th AI Government Innovation Conference held on Aug. 27 at the Government Sejong Convention Center. It said the tool recommends transport options and flags potentially improper claims, and could cut audit-related costs by about 40 percent.
