Six battery-focused wearables that last up to 35 days on a single charge
Long-life wearables that can run for more than a week on a single charge are drawing attention as the Apple Watch’s battery life comes back into focus. Oura unveils 40 percent smaller Oura Ring 5
Smart ring maker Oura has unveiled the Oura Ring 5, which it says is 40 percent smaller than the previous generation. The company is also expanding AI-based health management features and subscription services. Shipments begin on June 4. The base model costs $399, while premium finishes cost $499, and a portable charging case is sold separately for $99. New features include Health Radar, blood pressure pattern tracking during sleep and GLP-1 Insights.

Oura files confidential IPO paperwork with U.S. SEC, valued at $11 billion
Smart ring maker Oura has filed initial public offering paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, starting the listing process. It is working with major investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase, but has not disclosed a timetable. After a recent $875 million fundraising, Oura has been valued at about $11 billion, reports said. CEO Tom Hale said cumulative sales reached 5.5 million rings last year.
