Hana Financial Group to back industrial park tenants with 50 billion won new growth fund

Hana Financial Group plans to create a 50 billion won fund to support technology innovation and shifts into new industries by companies located in industrial parks. It will also provide ESG management consulting, support for obtaining domestic and overseas certifications, export expansion and industrial park infrastructure investment. Hana Financial said it signed an agreement with three organisations to jointly 추진 a “K-Industrial Complex New Growth Project” aimed at innovative growth and regional economic revitalisation.

Korea to launch cross-government research security response system, pushes new sensitive project category

South Korea will launch a cross-government response system to strengthen research security, aiming to manage risks such as the leakage of research assets and undue foreign interference as international cooperation expands. The science ministry held a meeting with related agencies and experts to review policy direction, plans and operating systems. The government plans to improve conflict-of-interest management, tighten security rules and create a new “sensitive project” category in August.

IITCEN Global to work with Draper Startup House on AI and Web3 startup programme

IITCEN Global will jointly host an open innovation programme with Draper Startup House Korea Center, a global accelerator network led by Silicon Valley venture investor Tim Draper, to identify and foster promising AI and Web3 startups. Five affiliates within the group will participate. IITCEN Global plans to act as a control tower to support co-commercialisation and global expansion. About 10 startups will be selected and offered tailored investment reviews and club-deal investment opportunities.
