Smart glasses combined with artificial intelligence are drawing attention as next-generation wearable devices, and models that can take photos and videos, play music and answer spoken questions have entered the South Korean market. Meta officially launched the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and Oakley Meta on May 25. A hands-on test of the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Skyler highlighted voice commands for shooting, first-person recording, open-ear speakers for music and calls, and AI assistance, alongside limits in accuracy and privacy concerns.

Musinsa, Oakley run AI glasses pop-up for next-generation eyewear experience
Consumers can try on AI glasses jointly developed by Oakley and Meta in an offline setting. Musinsa said on Thursday it will run an \"Oakley Meta\" pop-up store at Musinsa Store Seongsu in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong from June 4 to 18. The pop-up is designed to offer an in-person experience of products previously available only online through Musinsa Drop, including the Vanguard sports lineup and the HSTN everyday lineup.

\"Hey Meta\" triggers shooting, translation as Meta AI glasses Ray-Ban, Oakley arrive in Japan
Meta is rolling out its smart glasses lineup in Japan, launching the everyday Ray-Ban Meta second generation and the sports-focused Oakley Meta at the same time. Facebook Japan and EssilorLuxottica say sales start on May 21. The glasses support hands-free photo and video capture, Meta AI functions and open-ear audio, with translation features expanding from sign and menu translation at launch to live translation in 20 languages from June.
